What is Rozendal Vinegar?

Rozendal Farms located in Stellenbosch (Western Cape of South Africa) makes a range of botanical vinegars- Green Tea, Fynbos, Lavender and Hibiscus.
Our vinegars are made in a balsamic style and are macerated with a selection of high-quality herbs chosen for both their medicinal and culinary properties.

We love making these vinegars and hope to hear from you about your experiences with vinegar, any recipes you have or would like to have.

There are many aspects to making a great vinegar and we would love to share all we know and to learn more too!

A Little More About Rozendal Farm

Rozendal Farm comprises of 6ha of vines, 4ha of pastures, 2ha of gardens and living space and 13ha of forest and fynbos. The farm is situated in the Jonkershoek valley on the border of Stellenbosch, at the foot of the Jonkershoek mountains. The farm and cellar buildings are in excess of 150 years old.

Since 1994 Rozendal is managed biologically (bio+logical = biological) with an environmental and health conscious approach which ensures clean air and pure water. In May 2001 we switched to Biodynamic farming methods and have become members of the Biodynamic Agricultural Association.

Quality in simplicity is the key with maturing rather than ageing the thread which links all activities on the farm.
